Project Master Bedroom: Inspiration

I'm going to do something sort of rude here...

Let me apologize in advance, okay?

I'm so sorry...

I'm going to spew some serious inspiration vomit all over this blog right now.

Okay, gross I know... but seriously. I have to. I have to get it out.

Ready?

Before I start, I pulled these images off google search a LONG time ago - before I knew it was proper to credit for photos, if any of these are yours please let me know and I'll be glad to add the credit.

It's so amazing and simple. LOVE the floor length drapes. L.O.V.E.

Oh my gosh, this paint color. *Swoon* The drapes are beautiful too!

LOVE the details of the keys and Relax DIY art. Those white drapes? *dies*

This lamp is soooooo gorgeous. And do you see the detail on the paint/wallpaper? OMG

I. DIE. This bedding is KILLER! That headboard? Seriously? AH!

Love the simple bedding here and those teal lamp shades! MMMM!

Really love the simplicity of this room too - and just a few teal accents.

Again, the bedding. *DIES*

Ohhhhhhhh look at those headboards!

The coordinating chair & pillows are adorable. Also, LOVE the headboard and lamps.

These drapes are just so sexy!

I can't take much more sexy in one picture. The bedding, pillows (minus the pink), paint color, headboard, lamps, mirrors, chandelier, and the art above the bed?! CAN I LIVE HERE?!

Whew, I feel better. Pardon me for the rude vomit spell, I didn't know what else to do!

I had to get it all out. I'm SO ready to take on this Master Bedroom Re-Deco. Slowly but surely, of course, so I'm sure to get good deals, DIY as much as possible, and to just find the perfect accents.

Now, where to start?! I have some ideas for bedding (another post), but I feel like I can't find exactly what I want yet. Do I paint first? Sew my DIY curtains from sheets first (like I did in the nursery)? Refinishing our new dresser that's still sitting in my mother in law's garage?

Maybe I should start with a major purge of our bedroom, first.

I just don't know!

  2. Ok, dude. I love turquoise and dark browns and blacks together. I'm not a fan of the color blue in general until you get this perfect mix in this perfect turquoise and then it's heaven.

I just bought about 5 or 6 antique keys and I was trying to figure out a cool way to display them without them looking uniform and old school. So when I saw the photo of the keys hung up with black ribbon on those wicked hooks..... Sigh....this is my dream bedroom.

New follower. Love your blog. ♥

  3. @Lesley, Where did you find the keys at? I have a few really small ones that I got when my grandma passed last year, but I'd love to find some bigger ones like the ones in the photos for different projects.

Thanks for following and showing some love!

    @Ashley, thank you!

  4. I bought them about a month ago at an antique store near my town. They are those old skeleton key types. 2 of them are pretty small ( like maybe an inch an a half ) but the rest are about five inches long.
I've been going on ebay a lot but I don't want to spend a crazy amount of money and I also couldn't care less about where they come from and how old they are. I don't need certificates of authenticity. I just want the keys!
Honestly though, check out ebay. They have bunches of them!
