You're a Hoot

I've finally gotten the chance to use my new toy, the Silhouette Machine! Of course the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a project? A friend's upcoming baby shower! I shopped her registry already and got a few cute things - but I wanted to make her something for her super cute DIY nursery, a little bit of DIY nursery art. I'll show you the finished project... when it's finished, duh... but for now, here's where I'm going with it.

Branch shape purchased from the online store

Circles & shapes are free hand - GRANT is a font on my computer

Owl purchased from the online store

She sent me photos of the fabrics her mother in law is using to make sheets & curtains and I pretty much replicated everything to match :) I can't wait to actually finish this project... but first I must spray paint some the wood board.

Did I ever tell you I'm terrified of spray painting? The one time I tried it I felt high after (maybe because I did it in my BASEMENT and not OUTSIDE?) and it REALLY didn't work. But, I also used a really cheap brand. This time, I'm diving right into Rustoleum's Heirloom White - a very popular color. Hopefully it works.
